'What can I say! Thankyou for letting us stay in Villa Sunrise - our little piece of paradise!!! We had the most amazing time and the whole thing far exceeded our expectations. Having travelled extensively both as backpacker & business tourist this is one of my favourite experiences.
We loved it all so much we hope to return when we next travel to New Zealand.
We never missed a sunrise, Our friendly cockeral made sure of that - ( he he ) In reality we were normally awake with our loungers in there 'morning position' waiting with bated breath.
One morning we were out at sea as the dawn broke, we took your advice and went to spot the Dolphins - not difficult the sea was teaming with them!!
We also spent some time in the village - a real balinese experience, it reminded me a little of rural India - unspoilt by tourism and full of character and culture.
As a jewellery designer by proffesion, I was thrilled to watch the silversmiths at work.
The rest of the time we lapped up the sun - played in the pool and took a number of yoga sessions & wellness treatments.
Made Dwe was our little Angel!!! A fantastic cook and a credit to you. She made it all extra special.
Now on our way home to begin paying off the credit card bill...... Yipee
Thankyou once again'
Directions
Take the road direction Ubud and Payangan. When you come near Ubud head toward the direction of Payangan. (If you are already in Ubud then leave town heading towards Payangan.)Follow the road to Payangan and keep going straight through this town. Keep going until you reach the end of this road. This will bring you all the way to the Mount Batur Crater rim near Kintamani.
There turn left towards Singaraja. This road is winding through mountains.
After about 15 minutes of driving start looking at the names of the small villages until you come to the small village of Lateng. There look for the sign to the Alamanda (this sign is on left hand side of the road, if you miss this sign and the turn off you will ad another hour to your drive.) Just after the Alamanda sign turn right, into a small road and immediately follow the road around towards the left.
Keep going all the way down the mountain, a beautiful drive and when you reach the end of the road you will be at the coast road. Here turn right and continue for an other 2.6km in southeast direction into the town of Tejakula.
On the mountain side of the road you will pas the Tejakula Post Office, then the Tejakula Wartel and then a Soccer Field.
Immediately after the soccer field you will cross a bridge and exactly kilometer after the bridge you will see a yellow and a white Bali flag on bamboo poles, this marks the entrance to our gang.
On the opposite side of the road under a mango tree you will also see a small sign saying Gaia-Oasis. This is in front of the Aditya shop.
Please park your car here either on the side of the road or ask the Aditya shop if you can use their undercover car park at the back of the shop for a small fee.
Now follow the small path to us at the ocean.
If we know the approximate time of your arrival we will have some of the Sunrise staff meet you on the main road and help carry any luggage.
If you want to come to Villa Sunrise from the South of Bali via the coast road then it is about a 4 to 5 hours drive. You will find the yellow and white flags and the Gaia-Oasis sign under the Mango tree shortly after entering the town of Tejakula
