Overview

This tour is a great chance to explore the major tourist attractions of Indonesia in the historical town of Yogyakarta. A tour of the Borobudur Temple in eastern Java gives you a glimpse into the Buddhist culture and tradition. Built on a hilltop in the 8th century by the Cailendra dynasty, the temple is a miniature model of the universe.

Browse around the Sultan’s Palace of Yogyakarta and you will come across centuries-old musical instruments and other antiques. If you’re lucky, you may see a royal wedding ceremony, or a Javanese classical cultural performance and puppet show which are often held in the palace. Take a trip to the Hindu temple of Prambanan and marvel at its tall, pointed architecture, typical of Hindu temples. This tour is a must-do for every visitor to Indonesia!
